I’m looking for a secondary source that talks about the plague and its effects on the Jews. I have tried searching but can't seem to find anything. Can you help me?

Answer

Yes. One of our professors, Dr. Henry Abramson, wrote an article on that topic. Here is a link to the article.  Within the article are links to other secondary sources about Jews and the plague.  Here is a link to another secondary source that may prove useful to you.

Touro has a book in our collection with several chapters on medieval views about Jews as sorcerers and plague-makers. The Devil and the Jews: The Medieval Conception of the Jew and its Relation to Modern Antisemitism can be found at these locations.  This title is also available as an eBook in EBSCO eBooks database.

In order to access this e-book, or any other Touro Library electronic resources, you must be logged in to the library webpage with your Touro One portal username and password.   Here is a link that will take you to the eBook once you are logged in.
