When online searching for articles, I am told to sign into EBSCOhost or CrossRef. When I use my Touro username and password, a pop-up says they do not exist or are expired, and I should contact you for assistance. How do I get these articles?

Answer

It seems that you are trying to access articles from an online site not affiliated with Touro Library.

If you sign into the portal, on the left side of the page is an icon to search the library.  You should go to the library page and search a selected database, like EBSCO , or search on the blank text box, called QuickSearch, in the middle of the library homepage. It lets you search all databases at the same time.

When you find a suitable article while online, copy and paste the title of the article into QuickSearch.  If it is in a database, it will be at the top of your search results. If the article you want is unavailable in our databases, it can be ordered from a subscribing institution by filling out the Interlibrary Loan form.  It can be found by logging into the Portal, going to the word SERVICES on the library homepage, finding the drop-down menu, and clicking on Request Material from Another Library (ILL).
