How do I access New York Times articles on the Library website?

I need articles from  the "Science Times" (aka "Science Desk").

Answer

Log into the TouroOne portal and go to the eJournal page. Enter "New York Times" in the blank text box then search.  You will get a number of databases that contain the newspaper.  Select one. US Newsstream (ProQuest) is a good choice. You can select a specific issue of the publication to search (for example, the ''Science Times" section appears on Tuesdays, and is the D section of the paper) or you can "search within" all dates of the newspaper by using the term "Science Desk" and any other keyword.

You may want to consider subscribing to the Science Times newsletter to receive notifications of their articles, which you can later search in the database.  The Library does not have access to an online subscription to the NY Times directly from the publisher, which offers unique content that is unavailable in our databases. In other words, not all of the NY Times content will be available in our databases.
