How many books can I borrow from the library and for how long?

Answer

While registered for classes, students may borrow up to 10 books simultaneously for a loan period of 2 weeks.  Books may continue to be renewed until another borrower has requested them.  Professors may check out up to twenty books for up to one semester.  So that all library users have a reasonable chance to borrow the materials they need, the library reserves the right to limit the number of items that any one individual may borrow at a given time.

Additionally, the library has the right to shorten a preexisting borrowing period. This procedure is termed “recall”.  All items are subject to recall after 14 days in your possession. Should an item you checked out be recalled, you will receive a “Recall Notice” with the new due date by which the item must be returned. Recalled items that are not returned accrue a penalty of $1 per day.
