How do I access an online article or book? I found a title and there is no link to click on. How do I see the digital version?
Answer
Not all Quick Search titles have links. If you see the word "citation only", there is no full text.
To double check, make sure you are logged into the Portal. Look for the eJournal icon on the Library homepage and click on it. You will display a text-box. Enter the title of the journal into the box on the eJournals page. If the journal is available digitally, pay attention to the dates of coverage. The date of the article in which you are interested must be included within the date range.
Quick Search gives titles of books that Touro Libraries has both in its physical collection and as eBooks. Physical book titles link to the catalog, and while they sometimes contain links to a table of contents, they provide no further information from the books. If an eBook does not link, it may have been eliminated from our collection. To be sure, check directly in the eBook databases. The largest of these are ProQuest eBook collection and EBSCO eBooks.
If there is no full-text, you might want to consider placing an Interlibrary Loan request.
