I NEED A HISTORY BOOK FOR A BOOK REVIEW

I am looking for a non fiction history book published by an academic or university press, written by a historian that contains the newest research on the topic. The time frame is from the first century of the Common Era until 1500.

Answer

Our print books can be found by searching the catalog:

https://library.touro.edu/search~S2/X

In one field put your topic.  Where it says publishing date, put a recent range, for example 2016-2022. Where is says publisher put the word University. That will bring books published by university presses. You may get results at several campuses. Books which are available to be borrowed at any campus can be sent to your campus of choice. To borrow any book you must have a Touro ID card, and a pre-existing library account to borrow books, made in library by presenting your TouroID and schedule of classes.

If you want an eBook, search the blank box in the center of the library homepage after logging into the portal.  All eBooks can be found here:

https://touro.summon.serialssolutions.com/#!/search?ho=t&l=en&ebooks.only=true&site=tcny

Once you put in your keyword you can narrow by date (last 5 years) and include University in the publisher field. You will have to reset the content type to books/eBooks. You will find details of the author's credentials in the book itself or google the author to learn her educational background or teaching affiliations. To determine how long the book is, you will need to click on individual links.
